Gerald M. Geiger Memorial Scholarship
The Butte County Farm Bureau Gerald M. Geiger Memorial Scholarship awards scholarships to Butte County high school seniors planning to major in agriculture. Youth is the future of agriculture and the scholarship program is a way for BCFB to supports its own future by helping young adults through their educational career.
- Completed two-page application. Hand written applications will not be accepted.
- Current transcript, indicating a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- One page essay written by the applicant that outlines education and career goals and objectives.
- One current letter of recommendation, which contains the applicant’s name, comments on the applicant’s character and abilities, and an opinion of their ability to develop from a college education. (Parents/guardians will not be considered as a reference).
Applications are due, in the Butte County Farm Bureau office, by Thursday, March 29, 2018 at 4 pm and should be hand delivered or mailed to (postmarks will not be accepted).
Note: To receive an awarded scholarship, recipients must provide proof of enrollment in two agriculture classes before payment will be remitted.
The Butte County Farm Bureau Gerald M. Geiger Memorial Scholarship is a program of the Butte Agriculture Foundation, Inc. The Butte Ag Foundation is a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization making all donations to the Scholarship tax deductible charitable contributions.
